MPS firmly believes in providing games and sports facilities so that students develop physical and mental capabilities. MPS strives on physical fitness and mental robustness to develop rare qualities of courage, confidence, self discipline and sportsmanship.

Trekking, group tasks (Service Selection Board pattern) are organized so that the students inculcate qualities of leadership, co-operation and taking calculated risks.

Students are encouraged to participate in games and sports such as: Athletics, Basketball, Badminton, Cricket, Chess, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, Football and Volley Ball.

Basic military training is also imparted to students of all ages depending on their capability. Physical fitness, periodic tests and records are maintained. An obstacle course is laid out and all the boys and girls are motivated to undergo physical efficiency test and records are maintained. MPS is fortunate to have two Army personnel, one junior commissioned officer and one drill instructor (Retd.) from National Defence Academy on its team.
